T-Mobile publishes one pay-per-use price per country, the same for landlines and mobiles. Stateside International Talk covers calls placed from the US (and from Canada and Mexico on eligible plans); countries marked with a price are the ones where the add-on only discounts the call. T-Mobile also advertised a limited-time family price for the add-on on 27 September 2026. The rates above are from T-Mobile's postpaid consumer page; prepaid pay-per-use prices were not verified.
When T-Mobile is the cheaper way to call abroad
- Canada and Mexico. T-Mobile says: “Great news, most T-Mobile plans include unlimited calling to Mexico and Canada from the U.S. for FREE.” If your plan includes them, nobody's per-minute rate — ours included — beats that.
- Heavy calling to an included country. The Stateside International Talk (SIT) add-on costs $15 a month. At TwinPhone's $0.08/min to an Indian mobile, $15 buys about 187 minutes; if you call an included country for longer than that every month, the add-on is cheaper.
- Mobiles the add-on prices below us. With the add-on, T-Mobile charges less per minute than TwinPhone to mobiles in the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Japan and Spain.
- Google Voice and Google Fi. Their per-minute rates to most of these countries are a few cents, lower than ours; Google Voice needs a US number and Fi is a phone plan.

When a browser call costs less
- Occasional calls without an add-on. Ten minutes to an Indian mobile cost $30.00 at T-Mobile's rate without an add-on, and $0.80 at TwinPhone's.
- Mobiles the add-on still charges for. Even with the add-on, T-Mobile bills mobiles in Nigeria and Pakistan at more per minute than TwinPhone does.
- Calling from outside the US. T-Mobile's international calling plans cover calls placed from the US. From abroad, a browser call is billed at the same per-minute rate as at home.
- Calling from a laptop. TwinPhone runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with no SIM and no app — useful when your phone plan isn't the one you want to pay with.
How to call abroad without an add-on, from your browser
- Open the dial box, pick the country and type the number — the per-minute rate shows before anything else.
- Create a free account with an email or Google; no card, no SIM and no US number needed.
- Add credit from $10 (no subscription, the credit does not expire) and press Call. Calls are billed per minute, rounded up, with no connection fee.
