Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. What to Report
We take reports of abuse seriously. Examples include:
- Fraudulent calls, scams, vishing, or social engineering.
- Calls from a TwinPhone-issued number impersonating a government agency, bank, or other organization.
- Robocalls, auto-dialed spam, or unsolicited mass calls/SMS.
- Harassment, threats, or stalking.
- Caller-ID spoofing or any other violation of the U.S. Truth in Caller ID Act, the EU Electronic Communications Code, or analogous laws.
- Illegal content, intellectual-property infringement, or any breach of our Terms of Service.
2. How to Submit a Report
Email abuse@twin-phone.com with as much of the following as you can provide:
- The TwinPhone-issued phone number that contacted you (the Caller ID you saw).
- Date and time of the contact, including time zone (UTC offset is best).
- The phone number that received the contact (your number) and country.
- A short description of what happened, including any quoted text or recordings.
- Any related screenshots, SMS content, or evidence — please redact your own sensitive personal information where possible.
3. What Happens Next
We aim to acknowledge verified reports within 24 hours and, for actionable reports, to suspend outbound calling and SMS from the implicated account within the same window pending investigation. We may, at our discretion:
- Suspend or terminate the responsible account.
- Block the implicated number(s) from further use.
- Hold or forfeit the account balance to offset documented losses, consistent with our Terms of Service.
- Share information with our upstream carriers and, where appropriate, with law enforcement.
We do not generally share the outcome of an investigation with the reporter unless we are required to do so by law.
4. Law Enforcement
If you are a law-enforcement officer, please see our dedicated Law Enforcement Guidelines page for how to serve subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and emergency disclosure requests.
5. Emergency
If you believe there is an immediate threat to life or safety, please contact your local emergency services first. TwinPhone is not a substitute for emergency services and does not provide access to 911, 112, 999, or equivalent. See Section 8 of our Terms of Service.
