Does a TwinPhone number work for Telegram?
Short answer
No. Telegram refuses to send verification codes to virtual numbers, including TwinPhone numbers. Instead of the code, the number receives a notice that codes from messaging platforms are not supported on VoIP numbers. We cannot change that; if you rented a number only for Telegram, ask for a refund.
What exactly happens?
Telegram checks the number type before it sends a code. For a virtual number it sends a short notice instead — "Verification codes from messaging platforms are not supported on VoIP numbers due to fraud prevention" — and no code. Nothing on our side filters these messages; any other virtual-number provider sees the same.
Which services behave the same way?
Banks, payment apps and some financial services also refuse virtual numbers or send codes only from their own local gateways. WhatsApp and Google do send codes: in the 90 days to 27 September 2026, 41 numbers received 55 WhatsApp codes and 10 received 25 Google codes.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, if the number does not work for what it was bought for. Write to support@twin-phone.com within 7 days of renting it; the Refund Policy covers credit or a pro-rata refund for a number that does not work as described.

No. The refusal is based on the number type, not on timing.
Can I call Telegram users from TwinPhone?
You can call their phone number like any other number. Telegram-to-Telegram calls happen inside the Telegram app.
