Do I pay to receive calls on my TwinPhone number?
Short answer
Yes. Receiving a call on a rented US or Canadian number costs $0.02 a minute from your calling balance, with a one-minute minimum — the same as calling those countries. The caller pays their own carrier. If your balance cannot cover one minute, the call does not ring and the caller hears busy.
Why are incoming calls charged?
Our carriers charge us for every answered minute on a number, in both directions. The monthly number fee covers the number itself; the minutes are billed like outbound minutes, at the rate for the number's own country.
What happens if my balance runs low?
A call rings only if the balance covers at least one minute, and it is cut when the balance runs out mid-call. Missed calls are emailed to you (up to three a day), so a low balance does not mean silent misses.
Where do incoming calls ring?
In the TwinPhone tab in your browser and in the iPhone app. Keep one of them open or signed in to answer.
