As of September 2026 Telegram does not deliver its login code to VoIP numbers, and that includes the US and Canada numbers TwinPhone rents: the SMS is dropped on Telegram's side and the voice-call option is not offered for a number Telegram has classed as virtual. A TwinPhone number is a real second line — calls in and out from your browser or the iPhone app, and incoming texts from US and Canadian senders — and it will not register a Telegram account. If you rented one for Telegram before reading this, contact support and the number is refunded.
